Background of CCA:

The Jurong West Secondary School Choir, the Melodious Eagle, is a vibrant group of students who have a passion for singing. They have performed a wide repertoire of choral pieces at many public venues in Singapore, including Gardens by the Bay (2014 SYF Celebrations Choir Flash Mob event), Ngee Ann City Atrium, Plaza Singapura Atrium, Singapore Science Centre, and CHIJMES. Apart from local performances, they have traveled to Hong Kong for student immersion programme last year, and performed at public venues there. They have participated in the biennial Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) Arts Presentation and have clinched the Certificate of Accomplishment this year (2017). Currently made up of 7 boys and 23 girls, the SSA choir has become a permanent fixture in many school events, such as the annual Speech Day and Prize-Giving Ceremony, National Day, and major cultural festival celebrations.
