Letter from MOE to parents on 2019-nCoV sent via PG on 7 February

Dear Parents/Guardians,

On Friday, 7 February, you would have received a letter from MOE on the additional precautionary measures taken by all schools via Parents Gateway. For your easy reference, a copy of the letter is attached here .

You could also visit https://www.moe.gov.sg/faqs-wuhan-coronavirus-infection for the latest updates.

Let us all continue to play our part in maintaining good personal hygiene and exercising social responsibility. Teachers will be constantly reminding students on both areas on a daily basis in school.

All of us can expect some inconveniences due to the precautionary measures in place in schools, but together we can keep our children healthy as well as safe while learning and lives continue.

Let us stay calm, united and resolute whilst taking sensible precautions to overcome this challenge together.

Precautionary Measures on 2019-nCoV

As part of our JWSS precautionary measures on the 2019-nCoV, in accordance to MOE advisory, please take note of the following:

1: Students are to bring their Oral Digital Thermometers (ODT) to school everyday, as the school has implemented daily temperature taking exercise. If you do not have an ODT, you may purchase one from the school bookshop.

2:  Pay attention to personal hygiene, practise regular hand washing with soap especially before handling food or eating; after visits to toilet, or when your hands are dirtied with respiratory secretion after coughing/sneezing. Cover your nose and mouth with tissue whey you cough/sneeze and dispose your used tissue into the rubbish bin.

3:  If you are not feeling well, please visit a doctor immediately, stay and rest at home.
